Nortech Systems Searching for CFO Replacement

Nortech Systems Incorporated is currently searching for replacements for two executive-level positions.

The company lost both its chief financial officer (CFO) and a board member within a matter of days in late spring. CFO and Senior Vice President of Finance Christopher D. Jones left the company in early June, shortly after word came of board member David Graff’s death in late May. 
 
“We are sorry to announce that Chris has decided to leave the Nortech team. He has done a great job and Nortech is in a much stronger financial position today than when he became Nortech’s CFO. Chris is leaving on very good terms. We have already started the process of finding Chris’ successor,” Nortech CEO Jay D. Miller said.

Nortech Controller Alan Nordstrom is filling in as interim CFO as the company searches for Jones’ replacement.
 
“It’s been a great run at Nortech as the last eight quarters of growth indicate. I’m happy to see that Nortech is so dedicated to taking great care of its employees, customers and supplier partners,” Jones stated. “I have learned over the past two and a half years, however, that I am suited for a private company that can better leverage my primary skill set. I’d like to wish the whole Nortech team the best of luck. I’ve enjoyed working with them and I remain optimistic about Nortech’s future.”
 
Graff, who passed away May 28, joined the Nortech Board in May 2022 bringing broad experience in financial leadership and global business strategy for companies in a variety of industries. His most recent engagements included companies in digital services, cybersecurity, business services and manufacturing. Graff retired from Deluxe Corporation in 2019 after 20 years as head of Corporate Development. He previously served in financial and operations leadership roles at Colwell Industries Inc. and Ecolab Inc., and as an auditor of public and private companies at Arthur Andersen & Co. S.C. 
 
“David was a trusted advisor whose guidance and expertise in financial and strategic matters will be deeply missed,” Miller said. “David was a genuinely thoughtful and engaging leader whose warmth and kindness inspired everyone at Nortech.”
